Exhibition III

This exhibition did not have a specific theme except it was a members only showing. There was a copious amount of work, including paintings from Maryland artist Tommy Roberts. There was also interesting pattern artwork by Howard Greenberg. Artist David Webster had interesting paintings reminiscent of the ocean park series by Richard Diebenkorn.

Catherine Kehoe Lecture

I visited the Johns Hopkins University campus to attend a lecture from the painter Catherine Kehoe. She discussed her works and things such as her ambitions to follow her own voice in painting. Because of this, she was primarily a self-taught painter. Catherine Kehoe also talked about her "Direct Descent" paintings, which were paintings of her old relatives. Through these paintings she felt more connected to her family.
